Ranking the Soundtrack of
Beyond the Valley of the Dolls
since january 2025, beyond the valley of the dolls has been one of my favorite movies ever. even if it's not related to one of my other favorite movie, valley of the dolls besides the title, i still found it interesting enough to check out.
at first, i wasn't a fan of the plot and ending, hell, I STILL hate the ending. Shit still pisses me off to think about. (but i won't spoil, go check out the movie yourself, it's a load of campy fun.) overtime, however, i grew a larger soft spot for the film and now i think it may be my favorite. is it the best movie i've ever seen? no. that's the children's hour. but it's late october and i'm STILL thinking about this one.
now, how did my thoughts change just like that? ladies and gentlemen, i present to you the soundtrack. since january, i've listened to some of it on repeat. i think they put meth in the recording booth, because WOW this album is magical. i seriously can't get enough of it. I ALSO GOT IT ON CD!!!! BEST FIND EVER! my favorite cd ever, here's the proof:
as i kept listening to the album, my thoughts on the movie grew fonder. now it's a 5 star movie to me. it's got a killer soundtrack, hot ladies, loads of tits, my beautiful wife cynthia myers, and a really great movie poster. also, cynthia + roxanne are amazing, roxanne was justified btw, fuck harris' stanky ass.
so here i am now, blogging about this soundtrack and ranking all 26 songs i have listened to from worst to best because it has my favorite song of all time and i NEEEEED to talk about this album. stu phillips outdid himself here, so did lynn carrey (mama lion is fire), ami rushes (who actually sang on the ost despite being uncredited), and barbara robinson. in the words of berleezy, let's......GET IT!!!!!!
heads up: i may have included incorrect pictures for some songs, i genuinely dont remember what scenes some of these songs appear in
